Horsehair Braid 1.5cm Wide
Horsehair Braid 1.5cm Wide, with stretch weave. Suitable for light & heavy weight fabrics. For a decorative look or use to stabilise hems eg: gives body to tulle & organza hems to create a wave effect. Use for hemming on medium to heavy weight fabrics where you want to create an invisible hem on shaped hemlines like a full length bridal gown with train, or even for a fluted hemline where you want bounce in your garment (sandwich between the main and lining layers). When cut this horsehair braid doesn't really fray, but it is still advisable to secure the ends with a stitch in invisible thread if it will be seen.
Not recommended for use with chiffon fabrics and light weight satins ( if may create too much bounce) or straight hemlines. It will create a curl in the fabric depending on the amount of stretch when sewn.
Horsehair braid can also be used in millinery and other craft projects.
